Glenelg and the Brochs then Elgol to Loch Coruisk

Grumpma had bought Scrambled Egg for Freya,
she was fascinated...

Next was a ferry trip to Glenelg , these sea kayakers
pulled in before the ferry.

Now this is the last of it's type with a
 rotating turn table,
making it easy to load and unload.

A lovely Cullen Skink for lunch with a serve of "Fishy Chips"
(whitebait)
A sneaky way to get Littley to eat fish!!!
YUMMY.

This magnificent Memorial just past the Pub.

Then on to the Brochs...
double click & read this.

These are remarkable Iron Age structures.

Muttie and Alex in the Broch,
gives you an idea of the size.

They are "double skinned"

Further up the road a second one undergoing restoration.

On the way back a quick stop for
Eilean Donan Castle which has been used in many movies

Next day it was another lovely drive, this time to Elgol.
Putting "special cream" required all the girls to have some.

This tiny Bothy at the bottom of the mountain.

When we arrived at Loch Coruisk we stopped for
a picnic.

Inside the Cuillin Hills is Loch Coruisk ,
just behind where we pulled in.

By the time we got back the Sea Mist was coming in...
No wonder it's called the Misty Islands !
Stunning..

The girls having a paddle in the water flowing from the Loch.

What a spot to anchor up..

Seals where all over the rocks.

On the way back this lovely scene with cattle.

And then a stop at Marble Pool for a quick photo
Kelly and Alex, then home.
