Edinburgh

Well I don't know about you but I've never
seen 3 swans having a drag race down a river before.

You've got be kidding me !!
An app and web site!

After driving into Edinburgh, UK's 2nd most chaotic traffic,
We gave up and headed back to the hotel.
Then caught a bus into town.
This lovely old building is just one of many.

Looking to the observatory.

Looking down the Royal Mile.

A National Trust Property
with a groovy sign.

Down a little lane this cute view.

Up to Edinburgh Castle.
One of the Kings I think.

The other..

The Entrance.
I'll have a whole new perspective of the
Edinburgh Tattoo!

We had a very helpful guide outside
he volunteered to take a happy snap.

The girl at the counter suggested she would organise
transport to the top...
A Honda CRV very handy!

No don't fire on the observatory !!

The unearthing of Scotland's National Treasures
in the 1800's

A couple of Scottish Royals..

The Laich Hall

Beautifully Restored.

Then we met Rob..
a wealth of information.
This is the servery.

The Scottish War Memorial in the old Chapel.

Rob then gave a very informative talk in the Great Hall
on where a lot of English terms come from,
related to old weapons.

Some of the Superb Armoury.

This took my fancy.

One of the Guardians of the Memorial.

Mons Meg.
The terrifying Medieval assault cannon.

Double Click to read.

Inside the old chapel.

The stained glass.

Just part of the internal walls.

Looking out over the city.

The site of the Tattoo...
out front of the Castle.

Lovely Celtic Cross.
Then a taxi back with a seriously worn out lady..
