Well I never thought I'd enjoy walking behind
a tour guide with a lollypop, but they are a wealth of information.
You would never know the history of these wonderful old cities.
Maybe we're getting old.
How's this for the name of the hotel!
Yes this is the same Messerschmitt...
A man of varying talents.
From there we went to the Green Market.
Wow what a selection of fruit & veg.
Being Easter these caught our eyes,
really cute!
And these, there were nic nacs of every conceivable variety.
Now if I drank beer, this would be my Stein !!
Then onto the historic old part of town..
You guessed it this was the Slaughter House,
you can't see it but the "left overs"
just went straight through the floor into the river.
I bet there were a lot of very fat fish about.
This bit of "modern art" was on the bridge.
Looks very Roman to me..
He's called the Centurion, so maybe.
Hows that for beautiful detail !
This was built to get the Bishop out of his "tower"
and into town with the people.
Spectacular.
The old city is full of great shops...
How's this for a drinking set ?
Across the old bridge, then through the arch to another
fantastic adventure.
