Knutsford even has it's own McLaren Dealership
with a display F1 car...nice!
After leaving Tony & Diana's we turned onto
the M6 carpark for a drive to Diss.
A quick coffee stop at Rothwell
had us over the road from this VERY OLD
building.
Getting nearer to Diss I spied this magnificent old
Mill , working beautifully.
More to my Windmill collection.
We arrived at David & Pam's to a lovely warm greeting.
Do you like old military planes?
Yes!
Let's go then! says David...
so off we went.
Gloster Javelin
Super Sabre
Mig 15
first time I've ever seen one.
One of my boyhood favourites
Bloodhound Surface to Air Missile
An ants eye view..
before he's cremated!
Canberra Bomber..
Aviator Bear
(for Alison)
Simulator of a Canberra Cockpit.
Various Ejector seats....
hopefully unused!
Lightning.
Aren't you glad to see I haven't been completely
put off boobs!!!
By my experience in Amsterdam!
These are from American war planes!!!
Front machine gun turret.
Another shot 'cos I like them.
This place is amazing...
lovely diorama.
This cool dude outside.
Engine from a B 17
surrounded by other stuff.
All for free!!!
but a tenner was appreciated I'm sure.
Then on the way home a stop in Diss
next to the killer rooster.
Next day we were off to Great Yarmouth
( nearly the most easterly point of the UK )
To see Derek
The trusty steed over the road from lunch.
Brother & Sister.
This was one of the many spiccie buildings.
I wanted Fish & Chips and all the Poms
will know this name.
Another of my favourite birds...
a bit different to the last one.
A nice statue of Brittania down towards
the harbour mouth.
She's quite tall really.
A bit of a giggle!
Then a very sad goodbye.
