We started by catching up with JJ
for a quick lunch in Clapham Common.
Then we went here,
bugger!
The Borough Markets....
Right up my alley...
no not Ali !!
There were all sorts of food places,
Cheese places...
Proper butchers..
Wine Stores...
and more.
Then this,
do you remember the picture at
The Devils Punchbowl ?
Here is one of them.
Then onto The New Globe Theatre.
Unfortunately we missed everything.
Pictures of Shakespeare's productions around the world
was the best we could manage.
While standing out the front we heard a high powered
speedboat roar past, about a minute later
this with "blues & twos" travelling about half the speed.
Good Luck boys!
A panorama from The Millenium Bridge.
I went to St Paul's but "no photographs"
so that was the end of that idea!!
apart from a couple of sneaky ones.
Such a shame !!
Our two pilgrims..
check out the name of the street.
From there on the tube to
Churchill War Rooms.
Double click..
maybe I don't have a drinking problem
after all !
The map of who was to control Europe
after the war.
Check out he first 2 dates!
The displays were excellent.
They covered all aspects of the operations.
The main phone room.
From there to where Betty pulls up today,
to go to the opening of Parliament.
The city was buzzing!
This outside the Horse Guards..
a basketball ring?
tee-hee
There tough these guys!
Any guesses?
From there to the oldest wine bar in London,
"Gordons" for a nice Pino Grigio...
Then on to
Ottolenghi.
What a meal..
one of the best on the trip!
Kinda like a Tappas.
These are my favourites.
Seared Yellowfin Tuna with dipping sauce.
&
Seared fillet of English Beef with dipping sauce.
Sensational !!!
Then of course these.....
When your next in London
look it up.
JJ & Kirsty
looking forward to seeing you soon!
