Here is the Cat with his Cream. Russell is a friend from the BMW Club in Perth, who commutes back and forth. We had timed our arrival to coincide with both Russell and Marg being in town. Russell brought the M3 round to see us just after we arrived..and fabulous it was too!
The following day Russell and Marg picked us up and spoilt us rotten. We went into Brisbane and down to the South Bank, that had changed a lot since I saw it with Robert...with water features and sculptures all around.
We caught the City Ferry and did the whole run from one end to the other and back again. Great way to see the City and the surrounds....the variety of architecture, Botanical Garden that comes down to the waters edge, University Campus and parks...and the bridges that go across...just great. Then out for dinner...this is the four of us sitting on our high chairs!
Then we were driven up to Mount Coot-tha were we could see over most of the City with the night lights. Fabulous day guys..we had a ball and actually felt like tourist!!!!!
The following night we caught up with Greg and Cathy (we had last seen them in Darwin, with a fleeting sighting in Mt Isa of Greg and his Kedron) for a quick dinner. They are both into the Harley's and Greg had brought his down to the restaurant for us to see. Great to catch up if only for a short time.
