Day 455 Toowoomba Gardens & Cobb & Co

While in Toowoomba we could not leave without seeing some of the other lovely gardens. The Carnival of Flowers had only just finished so there were still a lot of displays on show. The tree above is the famous Wollemi Pine, thought to be extinct, they now know of about 100 trees in existence. No wonder they have this tree in a cage.....hard to think that this variety of pine was around with the dinosaurs!!!
This bank of Sweet Peas took me back to my childhood. Both my Poppa (Dad's Dad) and Pops (my Dad) used to always have these in the garden...the scent was intoxicating!!
How's that for colour....rows and rows of colour!
We also went to the Cobb & Co. Museum. This is the finest collection of horse drawn carriages in the land. They told the story of Cobb & Co. in Australia. With everything from Goat drawn buggies to Ambulance carriages, Stage Coaches to Sulkie's.
