While in the Hervey Bay area we did a few other things other than the whale watching...this included visiting Val in Howard. I got told off for being late for lunch...Stephen blamed me, as usual..anyway sorry again Val!!! It was great to chat and hear some more of the travels that Val and Roger had done a few years back...8 years on the road...now there's a thought!
We also came across a place called Bamboo Land...yep, your right, had to stop and check that out. Very impressive with one of the best collections of Bamboos that we had seen...it was run as a nursery and will even send to WA.....now I have just got to stop Stephen changing the cottages garden into a Bamboo Jungle.
Found another Bird place....free flying birds off all decriptions...to many of them were imports so not much for the book...this is the Bleeding Heart Pidgeon.
