Day 447 Rockhampton

We pulled away from Airlie Beach and headed South...after saying onwards and upwards for so long..it seems strange to say we are going down the coast...but then we are on our way home. With the great distances that we are going to travel the decision was made that we do fairly long stretches and then stop for a few days to sightsee and rest up. So to start we went from Airlie Beach to Rockhampton...did not see a lot but were astounded at the architecture. The building above is the old Customs House and now the Information Center, copper roof and all.
This would you believe is the local Post Office.
Then we pushed on but had to stop at these craters. These craters were found by a farmer, they have been investigated by many, but to this day they do not know how they were made..the suggestions flow, but nobody can give an answer...fascinating!
