We were traveling along some of the areas that I was familiar with and heading towards Toowoomba...before that we went through the lovely town of Maryborough..into the tourist centre and were given a tour of their fabulous theatre/hall...yep thats me on the stage. All the flooring is local wood from the area and Fraser Island.
I had spoken to Stephen about this old store that survived until it's 100 Birthday...the old boy walked out and basically it was shut up as is....they have not brought anything in and the shelves are full of all the old goods.....
There are peanut butter bottles, curry powder, vegemite to name a few....all with the original contents in them.
The back room has the storage area with the packing boxes from all over the world..still as I remembered it and Stephen really enjoyed it!!
