Mole Creek Caves

Morning mist on them there hills...

We left from Gowrie Park, heading towards Mole Creek..
still had to take a couple of photo's of the back drop..

The Murals on the local workshop walls were not bad either..
more Hydro!

Round Hill Lookout. Looking back towards Cradle Mountain.

On the bucket list had been to do Mole Creek Caves...or one of them at least..
We choose Marakoopa Cave as it is a wet cave , unlike Hastings Cave which is dry.

The formations are similar as you would expect...
but this is the ancient river bed...from underneath!!

Apart from these almost lava flow looking formations.

Another aspect was the huge number of Glow Worms.
Due to what they are, no photo's were allowed.
I had seen Glow worms before, Stephen never...but I had never seen the number that we saw here.
Also, after being in the cave for about 45 minutes, your eyes could see so many more!!

The lighting in the rest was great...well done Mole Creek,
not an expensive tour but extremely good commentary.

When we got to Mole Creek Caravan Park (small but very good)..
we were offered Creek and Power, or Power and Water...
We went with Creek and Power and got a Trout as a bonus!!
Not my birthday so I missed out on this one that was cooked on the sites' camp fire.

Now this is just a random photo...when you see something and you just have to..
both of us thought that this looked like a puppet with all the arms and legs swaying!!
