We we're leaving Melbourne with the realisation that we are on the way home.
We headed up to Rutherglen for lunch at Pickled Sisters & then to Warrabilla to get some Durif.
From there to Bill & Pat's in Cobrham for a lovely meal,
next day to Boosey Creek Cheese Factory.
Here's Bill demonstrating the locally made rotary milking machine !!!
Then on to Yarrawonga and for me a flash back to my teens and Lake Mulwala..
Followed by a lunch at Rich River Country Club.
Bill had not long turned 70 and his "friends" had made this throne for him.
I'm not quite sure what Bill wanted the girls to put in his hands !?!?
Thanks again guys for a great stay.
Bill suggested we go west through NSW so off we went stopping in Deniliquin ,
the home of the Ute Muster, this old Holden is completely covered mosaic & looked great.
A pretty town in NSW with a few surprises.
The Three Muses were carved from Carrera Marble
and make a lovely centre piece for the Gardens,
and were reputedly sought after by Mussolini during the War.
We stopped at Lake Benanee for an overnight stop..
then on to Morgan. Here is the free ferry crossing..
we did not do this this time..maybe next time.
T & T outside the Station Master House.
This train line was at one time the busiest in South Australia.
Stephen just loves windmills, especially in the outback.
This one is just outside Morgan.
Next stop Clare...again!!!
