Arthur River

Having done the Pieman Cruise last time we had decided to do the Arthur River Cruise this time.
Peggy had wanted to go so we brought her along for the ride.
First stop, the Edge of the World.

Now the Old Red Boat "The George Robinson" was the go for the day,
and they also provided fish for a couple of Sea Eagles..amazing photo's Stephen.

She is approx. 48 years old and her Toy Boy, being her second husband, is only 21!!!

The Arthur River Hilton...been here for over 30 years...since the cruise started up the Arthur River.

Reflections.

After 14k's up river to the junction of the Arthur and Franklind Rivers, we came to Turk's Landing.
A quiet little spot for a walk a talk and a BBQ lunch plus wine.

The guy bring in the off road barrow is Greg, now he has a double degree in Environmental Science.
He has been doing the tour for the past ten years and what he does not know about the Tarkine is not worth knowing about...very interesting and informative without being over the top.

The Micro worlds were there along with forest that had been there for the past 65,000 years. Untouched, a truly special Temperate Rainforest.

I always thought that figure heads faced the other way and were singular!

The smile on the dial as we are treated to Dewsnap, thats Captain Dewsnap to you!

I got my chance too, and the phantom photographer got in on the act!

On the way back down the River we had one last chance to see Mr and Mrs Sea Eagle..
this time together....ah......

All to soon we were back with Toby and the journey back to Boat Harbour Beach..

Great day finished off with Richard and Sandra catching up with us and (with another 4 known people)
10 for fish and chips from our private restaurant the Jolly Roger.
