Narryna House.
Built over a period of time between 1833-36 by Captain Andrew Haig. He had purchased 2 acres of land for $150 in 1824. He also built the first stone warehouse in Salamanca Square. In later years it was leased by the State Government in 1956 to establish Australia's first heritage museum.
A display or birds..a couple of which are on my priority list!!
Stephen likes those steps again...he feels that they convey the passage of time!!
The Kitchen in all it's glory..including an old publication ..oh I'm having a senior moment...famous cook book and home hints.....I'll have a think on that and come back to it if I remember?!!
Got it Mrs Beetson"s !!!
Bedrooms..very dainty
Then we walked on down the road..a very pretty road..
love Hobart with the different eras of architecture.
Had to keep moving..onto the Kellys Steps. These steps bring you down from the Narryna Estate area straight into Salamanca Place, and just to make it interesting they have put in some art.
This old car has crows around it and lots of rocks...called..
Stone the Crows.
Back up to St Davids Park..with this changing coloured tree.
