We arrived back at Batemens Bay on Melbourne Cup Day. Richard and Sandra were there to greet us and had another couple, John and Jan Tanner coming for lunch. It was a very hot and windy day...with great food, wine and company...even if John and Jan cleaned up the sweep!!!!
The next day the weather turned, we had thunder and lightning but not much rain. Stephen and I had organised for work to be done on both the car and the van...so Sandra and I just caught up and relaxed. This picture is from there front balcony...it is the colour that it was...quite eerie!
Stephen describes Richard's shed as the best Mans Shed he has ever seen. Originally built for a boat the Turtle fitted in very nicely. We had decided to move on but Richard and Sandra persuaded us to follow them to Canberra to see the Capital and to see their brand new home...how could we resist....
