From the top of Mount York we had looked down towards Lithgow.... where the Zig Zag Train lives. Having the Zig Zag very close to the house at home, we could not resist a trip on the line. Unfortunately, the steam train was not in operation on the day that we were there, so the diesel had to do.
This is the diesel at Clarence Station, the starting point before we Zig Zag down to the Bottom Point.
The restored carriages were traditional outside but had been updated on the inside...very comfy!!
We got talking to the train driver and got to see the inside of the engine...then Stephen got one of his dreams and a ride in the engine....I did to but Stephen went again and again......
