
John the Guards Man come Signal Man gave us lots of information...and gave Stephen a guided tour of the signal box. We had stopped at the Bottom Point and a little shunting was going on...at least we got to see the steam train!!!!! ( I think my fascination comes from the fact that my Great Great Grandfather came out from the U.K. as a Signal Man! S.D. )


The Viaducts and Tunnels were incredible...we also found out that the Indian Pacific actually runs through a tunnel over 200 meters below the line that we were on.....

.....even the old bridges over the line have a quaint feel to them!
