Day 407 Kuranda Scenic Railway

So many people had talked about the Train ride to Kuranda and the Skyrail down that it was another of those must do's on our Bucket List...(if you don't know what I am referring to get the movie out..it's great). This highly decorated train winds it's way from Cairns, to Freshwater (were we joined it) to Baron Falls then Kuranda.. It's old, it's quaint, it's slow and goes through some of the most fabulous countryside....
The scenery was breathtaking and this was only the beginning...I know I am going to run out of superlatives..... with the Coastal Plains surrounded by the rain forrest of the Great Divide..remarkable, stunning...
yep, I am enjoying myself...even the drops by the side of the train did not phase me...but there was more to come....
The train station at Kuranda was as pretty as a picture..so we took one....next part of the day included lunch....
Beautiful meal at Frogs in the heart of town...with Sunbirds behind us a crisp Riesling, local fish and chips  and thou!!!!
