This is a long slog up to the Tip with over 1000 k's each way...I was not at all happy about taking the van so we decide to leave Turtle at Laura...well I decided and then Stephen drove on...and on.... and on!!!!! This little spot by the river is just outside of Coen right on the river and is called The Bend. Not a bad spot...toilet (named Windy Loo) was pretty ripe but it certainly looked better than Coen itself...we may even stop here again on the way back!
We got to Weipa the following day and spent a few nights to get our selves back in one piece. My arm was pretty puffy but with a pool at the Camping Ground , it was all good... the view was pretty specky to!
See what we mean...this was while having Fish and Chips which was served in paper, outside the Lodge!! The Moon got down this low & looked like a balloon.
