
We moved on to Cooktown and pretty much went to the Lookout....this place is pretty specky with still some of the original buildings...very interesting and mind blowing..

From this vantage point you can see out to the reef where Cook had landed...so to speak...and all the reefs that enclose the Endevour River Estuary....

There are monuments to Cook just about everywhere, and each year on the Queen's Birthday long weekend they have a re-enactment of the historic event.

Stephen could not resist the Lookout though so we went back for a sunrise...quite stunning..

and that evening more stunning over the estuary!!!!!
