We continued up from Hawker, heading towards Leigh Creek, there are quite a few old buildings along the way and most were, as this one is, an old station that was on the Old Ghan Line.
And on the plains are the remains of the remains...if you see what I mean.
This is the view from the Sutton Look Out. To think that a lot of the devastation of the land here is because of the Government insisting on the number of cattle or sheep that were to be run on any station. They have since reduced the numbers and now the general rule is 160 acres per cow and 85 per sheep. Stations that had over 200,000 on them now are down to 20,000. Oh, the logic of Governments gone by.
