Ah, the Flinders Ranges, they are marvelous, the colours are incredible and the scenery to die for. We made Wilpena Pound our home for a few days and set off to investigate our surroundings. These shots are of our first day out to Arkaroo Rock, not a bad track but it got my hip right from the start with the up hill and down dale.
The rock art was interesting, but I feel that we are only seeing the tip of the ice burg here. We were also disappointed in the fact that all these features are surrounded by fencing and padlocks...what is the world coming to were there is no respect for anything.
This one is for Sis...Stephen nick named it the Quilted Rock.
Things you see, saw this insect doing bog laps in the puddle. Just had to get Stephen to photograph it..the symetrics got me!!!
View from the look out across the valley to the Chance Range in the distance.
