Launceston Day 3

We had not been to the National Motor Museum of Tasmania, but this time.......

They change exhibits regularly, this time it was Alfa Romeo.
These two pre war classics.

I had read many reports on this "Il Monstre" ( not sure about the spelling) The Monster is a Zagato bodied Alfetta.

Just loved it.....

Messerscmit bubble car  (e&oe)

Ah now speaking of Zagato this is a very rare Aston Martin DBS Zagato, these special cars are light weight bodied versions of Astons built in Italy.

For those of you wanting to buy an Aston Martin my son Kristian is the man to go to as he is now the salesman for A M in Melbourne.
On his first day the "poor bugger" HAD TO drive 4 new AM's around the Botanic Gardens to get a feel for them..... poor Alison was apoplectic green with envy.

A lovely old R 60.

Remember "The Worlds Fastest Indian"?

and the movie ?

As we were staying at Longford this seemed appropriate to include this original poster.

And for any of you that have worked on old cars you may understand this.......
