We first saw the cars in Adelaide for scrutineering, then we went to Peter Lehmann (in the Barossa), had lunch and a long walk around, still did not see all the cars as they came through over several hours.
That was the Thursday, on the Friday, Bassie took us into town for the Street Party. Unfortunately, it was a wet one... we had a lovely dinner at a small restaurant opposite the Central Market, Malaysian food and Jazz, quite a mixture!
On the Saturday we did the first special stage in the Adelaide Hills.. this stage was shortened by an accident and later the stage was cancelled. The driver was a Perth guy in a Mustang, luckily he was okay.
We went a picked Colin Clarke from the airport, had dinner with him and Shirley, they stayed in a cabin in the same park just outside of the City. (They were over for a short break and a wedding).
On the Sunday, we took Colin to another stage in the Hills, lovely spot, and we were allowed onto private property along with a few other spectators. One of these is a guy by the name of Mark Whisson, a consultant viniculturist, and also an owner of a Lotus Europa which had come to grief in the 2000 Classic Adelaide...Stephen got us invited to have a look!!!!!
