Halls Gap

Leaving Port Fairy we headed to The Grampians.
A turn right hand us headed to Williams Lookout.

Superb Wildflowers everywhere.

And then for something completely different !

This caught my eye...
Perhaps this is what I suffer from !

The view out "our" back door wasn't half bad.

Off to McKenzie falls.
My knees were all stepped out after the Otways
so I had to content myself with a view from above...

Not seen one of these before !

Nor one of these at least 30cm across !!!!

Alison , Anthony and self went to Seppelts...
With a bit of "smooth talking"we got a private tour
of the Underground Cellars we had missed out on last time.

The largest in the Southern Hemisphere...
3.2kms !!!

Awesome !
And then we found out the "Bloody Accountants"
that own the place are selling it !!!

And so another piece of history will go....
The Old Homestead..not bad digs for the winemaker to live in!

The range of bottles they have done over the years.

Inside the tasting room.

I hate Accountants !!!!
A nice cloud & the train go by....

And then a quick trip to the "other" winery in
Great Western...

Bests....
Nothing there for us ! but lots of history.

The following morning sparring kangaroos in the back paddock.

Magnificent rock faces with incredible strata.

Hello I'm having breakfast ...
A Gang Gang Cockatoo.

Gorgeous views everywhere.

And this family having fun at Venus's Pool...
A bit cold for me !

Stunning wildlife..
you've just got to keep your eyes peeled.

On the way back from Silverline Falls the girls spotted this.

Which was followed by this...
A Grey Fantail building a nest .

And last but not least a Crested Pigeon.
