Day 2
Started with breakfast in the hotel.
After which I decided I needed a walk.
Along one side of the Singapore River.
These guys were doing a great job, cruising the river
netting floating rubbish !
They were wrapt when I waved to them.
What I did notice was that nobody looks at you,
or says good morning !!
There were a hell of a lot of expats out jogging though !
Looking back along the river to our Hotel Miramar.
The photo above is the historic Emerald Hill area.
The old & and; the new...
Let the Gastronomy begin...
Can you guess what this is ?
Anyone who has had Dim Sum with us will know
we mix Soy Sauce with Chilli Oil...
In this case finely shredded Ginger as well....
This restaurant is the best Dim Sum we have ever had !
Voted by the New York Times as one of the 10 best restaurants in the world !!
Now that may be a bit excessive... but great non the less !
And this was the pick.
Roasted fresh chilli with spiced pork filling
in a sweet vinegar & and garlic sauce.
Thanks Alex.
ORGAZMIC
Then outside and over the road this beaut Porsche 356
on display for a luggage shop.
Back to the hotel for a Nana Nap , a swim and a spa.
Then off to Chinatown for dinner..
What can I say ?
This doorway tickled my fancy!
Read the sign above the door.
Just a great spot so full of character and history.
Then "the main course"
Black Pepper Mud Crab...
Kung Po Chicken for Alison !
I felt like a Proctologist with those gloves on !!!
What's more to say!!
On go the kilos again !!
