Koppio Smithy Museum

We had seen this Museum on one of the Caravan and Motorhome Magazine DVD's.

And for reasons that you will see shortly it became a must do!

We have to say that this is one of the best Settlers Museums that we have come across.

The smallest Post Office and Bank..

don't think there would have been much security!!!

This would you believe is a photo copier!!!!!

There was a room designated to the fires of 2005 which devastated this region..

They were so lucky that they had minimal damage..

the house across the road was completely destroyed..

as they say fire has no rhyme or reason.

Yes you got it , this is the reason Alison wanted to come here.

The largest collection of Barbed Wire in Australia.

The Black Stump...this is were the fire got to within the Museum grounds.

The Blacksmiths was run by farther and then one of the sons and

 catered for the surrounding area for decades.

One of the few thatched cottages left....

...now this I am surprised at...

you would have thought this would have gone up in smoke..
