Look what the plane brought in!!
Joma and Pops (being Alison's parent) had always
said they would like to catch up with us on our travels
... well it has eventually happened.
Joma and Pops were in a cabin and
we were in the caravan park
...we had the car so could take them to places
that they would never have got to without us.
This is the water hole a Cape Range National Park.
Joma had found a new friend.
Up to Charles Knife Canyon and the Oil Exploration..
so far up it seams stupid..
there must have been some reason!
We stopped by the road side and I was not aware that Pops had worse Vertigo than me!!!!
Got him to look at the camera!!!
This is what he was in a panic about!!!
Then a history lesson, Operation Jaywick..
check out the sign below.
We had seen this before and told how we had actually
seen the boat they used in Sydney's Marine Museum.
Got the low down on the locals spot for fishing.
NOT TELLING......
Set Joma up to paint the scene...
and I became Gillie for Pops for the afternoon.
We caught 17 Bream but all undersize still a fabulous day..
even if I had to hold Pops pant's to stop him going in with the cast.
Caught up with Howard and Colleen and their new friends...
had to go to our favourite Restaurant in Exmouth Pinocio's.
More history...wreck off the coast.
We took them on the Glass Bottom Boat...
which was great for them to see the reef without getting wet..
And Stephen and I got to snorkel..
On the way back up to the Lighthouse...
whales to see and views...
Stephen and I did the Yardie Creek Cruise again..
on our own but great ...
Can't ever get over the colours...
never get tired of it.
Black Footed Rock Wallaby.
Pops treated us to morning coffee at the Novetel Hotel.
Special...and although not in the picture another whale swam past.
Outside the old Kalisis outlet (now in town) the big prawn...
a logical final picture of our time in Exmouth...the prawns are still yum!!!!
