Dampier

Whilst in Karratha, Irene had held onto a magnificent book

 from the library on the Petroglyphs, you wouldn't believe

they're all over the peninsula & on the islands. 

So a quick hamburger at Dampier & off we went 

after a few clues on where to look. 

Well we hit the jackpot the buggers were

 everywhere if you know where to look.

It really is remarkable country with these shattered rocks making up their palettes.

There was also some "standing stones" believed to be all put into this position, 

Alison immediately thought of Stonehenge.......

Below looking at the monument to the "Flying Foam Massacre"

another of our whitemans'  travesties against the indigenous population. 

And then heading across the salt pan on the way back to Karratha some "modern art"

I wonder if this will be here in 30,000 years ? I think not ! But a bit of fun none the less.....
