We did a FIFO to Perth for my Mum's 80th and to catch up with mainly family, but the friends got a look in too!
John & Jenny very kindly offered us not only a bed for the night but also to come to our rescue as Clare (the 2002) decided that we had left her for to long, and throw a hissy fit, so John kindly lent us his car for the duration of our stay. So, thanks again guys. We had a really good time, see you again soon.
Another night was spent with Anthony & Sis's , caravan crowd, Penny and Russell, Jan and Barry...a great evening was had by all, telling tales of trips and adventures.
Stephen went to the caravan show while in Perth, (I went and had an afternoon with my Mum and Dad), while he was there, he met Alf... now Alf is the promoter of the Golden Quest, which you may remember we did before the crossing of the Nullabour. He is also the person who found John Aspinall's grave, which we had visited and left a note, the picture above is of that same note.... amazing... he also gave Stephen a signed book of John Aspinall's diary that I had been trying to get... small world hey!
Thanks also to Belinda and Adam, who gave us dinner along with another friend Russell, and then allowed us to enjoy Top Gear on a big screen... thanks guys!
