Day 248 - 256 Phillip Island Historic Races

We went to the Historic Races at Phillip Islands and although it rained it was a fascinating three days of some of the most incredible cars. We can't put them all on here so have divided it up into two postings and will give you a short note on each.... this was very difficult to choose from the 800 odd pictures that Stephen took!!!!!! Sauber Mercedes which holds the highest speed record down the  Mulsanne Straight at Le Mans,  from memory 415kph.
All you can say is a 2002 and another behind.
Leigh Turner, who lives round the corner from us, in his 350 Monaro, had a good weekend...
Lotus Elite, a rarity, the first fiber glass monocoque from Colin Chapman, one of the most beautiful Lotus's ever made.
BMW M Power in a Benetton Formula One Car. Check out the size of the snail.
