Creswick and Clunes

After a 2.5hr drive from A and A's we arrived in Creswick.

Now this more like it !

Sculpture or a Giant Dam Plug ?

An old gold town, with swimming and sailing and fishing.

So a Dawn Ramble was in order.

The 6 of us went into town for Coffee and Cake.

But it was 11am on the 11th of November.

So a  Rememberance Day Service 

had just begun...

So Alan, Mike and I went over to pay our respects.

Now my Lemon Merangue Pie was going down a treat

Until !!!!

Later that Afternoon we took off to Clunes.

Magnificent Churches.

Special interest to me as my Nan came from here !

Memorial to the first discovery of Gold

in Victoria.

An Historic Town used in a lot of Movies. 

It is also a "Booktown"

Which they have made themselves 

famous for !

Antiques and Bric a Brac too !

Just because !

And a Double Hearted Rose !

Well I've never seen one !!!

A Great Day followed by Happy Hour around a fire...
