Shutter Buggers

J.B. came around & suggested I join him on a
Shutter buggers weekend with Campfire Escapes, as he had a spare seat....
Alison couldn't get rid of me fast enough!!!!
We have had a Bastard of a time lately.
With Mum dying, my knee operation & all the crap with the house in Success.

So on a cloudy morning before sunrise off we went.
First stop after lunch north of Geraldton
was the Convict Ruins at Lynton,
out from Northhampton.

A couple of great photo opportunities.

Next day off we went to Murchison Homestead.

Across the mighty Murchison, (just a trickle at the moment)
It was time to lower tyre pressure, as we were to follow the river upstream.

Time for morning coffee we stopped in this great spot below a rock.

This magnificent dead tree....
This area is full of great camp sites,
that the "great unwashed" never get to see!

J.B. getting advise from Graham Cahill, our expert photographer.
He has just taken over from "Roothy" at EMG.
So we were lucky to get his time.

All the fourbies less Nick's as he left his back at camp.

What can I say it looked great!

Graham rounded the corner & announced
we needed to stop for a "photo opportunity"

What a fantastic tree!!!!

The reason for the lower pressures soon became obvious.
Sue & Lynn ( the back end girls!?)

I'm not sure if Sue was covering her eyes or what.

We heard Nick call out on the CB he'd found a nipple!!!

Was this what Sue meant when she called them the Back End Girls???

Last through she got stuck in the stinking mud.

Nick ever the gent rushed to his ladies rescue,
while Graham photographed the event....
there were more to come on the way back!!!

Up by one of the many pools..

were these beautiful sights.

On the way back Craig announced he was well & truly stuck.
Oh he was!!!

Next day we did a "Beach Run" down to Lucky Bay.

Ah the devotion of the Professional photographer.
The waves were a pounding.

Then we stopped for smoko (morning tea)
The waves were still pounding.
Caspian Terns & Pacific Gulls.

A treasure to photograph ( and then bring home..)

The photographers were keen!

Jessie being chased by the breaking wave.
Sue & Mike had the appropriate footwear,
none!!

Graham wanted us to try getting blurred background shots,
so as Andrew belted up the hill...this was my effort.

Does anyone know where they're going?

We were lucky to have Neville Passmore on the trip,
here he is photographing the Dampier Rose.
He was awarded the most improved photographer of the week end by Graham.

I tried out my 4 stop Neutral Density filter, not happy Jan!
I couldn't see what I was doing it's that dark.

A bit of B&W

Packing up, JB's rig, Me, Lynn, Nick & Sue.
3 nights of wind & rain....
A great weekend apart from the bloody sand flies!!!!!!!!!!

Then on the way home this sand dune near Lancelin.

Last photo for the trip.
Next entry will be "The Ashes" trip to Echuca mid June.
