The Family Home
Just off the Bank in the
Caravan Park.

I went up to Hepburn Springs...
to take some of the waters !
But found this...

And this was really cute !

And these 3 Holiday Units
were superb...

The owners were just cleaning them ,
but let me have a quick look in one
$350 to $500 a night !

Stopped in Daylesford at the Butcher

Heading up on the Daylesford Rd...

Maryborough and Colonial Splendour

I hadn't been to Maryborough for 44 years
Some of the Architecture is Magnificent.

So between the rain here is a few Beauties.

The Pick of the Bunch !

What I remembered was this Magnificent Station .

The Main Hall has been turned into a Cafe / Restaurant,
with Gallery.

This 3 Dimensional Painting
caught my eye.

Even the Ceiling was spiccie !

A Fireplace in the Main Hall...
You don't see that too often!

More Signs ....

The Platform is just as Spiccie !

This is how I remembered it !

And in Town this Great Hotel

And then on the way back, we called into Talbot
A bit of a sad sight , this looks like
someone was doing it up - but ?

Ballarat and The Archibald

Last year we came through Ballarat only to discover
that the Archibald Prize paintings were in Town.
They are trying to make this a regular thing in Ballarat.
So off we went,
This is the winner...
Barry Humphries.

I thought this was Brilliant

This of a well known Sudanese Lawyer
you had to get very close to believe it was a painting!

Rhys a Redheaded Comedian.

This fellow fascinated JJ when he saw it
He is entirely painted in straight lines !!

Peoples Choice,
George Columbaris.

Only small but beautifully painted
Brett Whiteley's Widow.

I loved this...
Introduced Pests
Double Click and see the detail.

A very powerful portrait.

One of my favourites
Gary McDonald

As Creswick is the Birthplace of Norman Lindsay
and the family home was demolished.
They have reproduced the Sitting Room in the Ballarat Art Gallery.

This is the street where the Family Home was.

What an unbelievably Artistic Family !

Just because I love clever signs !

Looking up towards the Art Gallery
on Lydiard Street.

From there a lovely lunch,
followed by a trip to Lake Wendouree
This is The Prisoner of War Wall...
WOW !

Are you looking at me !

A Musk Duck
up close and personal !

And the Wendouree Monster ?

And then the rain came....
